Skills for Life

Specially designed equipment has proved to be popular with youngsters, affordable for schools, and easy for teachers to use. Our adapted equipment is a FUN, energetic, version of golf which young children in secondary schools can enjoy with their classmates as they hit the target with their first golf shots. It is genuinely inclusive as it suits all abilities; every child can succeed in the games and with the flexibility between individual play and team interaction, it engages well with youngsters who might not want to play a traditional team sport.

StreetGolf equipment can be purchased from www.daviessports.co.uk

The Virtual Golf Skills Competition for secondary schools provides a healthy sense of competition and achievement. For those new to golf, it encourages participants to learn some of the key skills needed to play golf and have a go at them. By having an online competition platform, it provides the incentive to get involved and motivate young people to better themselves and play as part of a team.

You must have a team of 10 which is made up of 5 girls and 5 boys
You can have up to 2 minutes practice time before the scoring time starts
The scoring time is 5 minutes which you have to score as many points as you can on that game.

The scoring MUST be recorded by an adult and accurately entered into the ‘Enter your score’ section of this website. A player may play in more than one team to make up another team of 10 but it must still be 5 boys and 5 girls.
